Convex Interactive partnered with Golootlo to improve user authentication by enabling OTP and account recovery messages through WhatsApp. The solution was created to improve delivery reliability and enhance the user experience, ensuring smooth communication during login, registration, and recovery across the platform.
Challenge & Solution
Golootlo needed a reliable, efficient way to deliver OTPs and account recovery messages without delays or failures. Traditional SMS-based systems often faced latency or reachability issues, impacting user onboarding and access. Convex Interactive addressed this by integrating WhatsApp as the primary channel for OTP and recovery messages via Verito. To ensure maximum reliability, a fallback SMS mechanism was implemented—triggered automatically when WhatsApp delivery fails. This dual-channel approach ensured consistent message delivery, reduced friction in user authentication, and enhanced overall platform accessibility.
Our Process
We started by integrating WhatsApp messaging APIs via Verito to manage OTP and recovery flows. The system was set up to send messages immediately upon login and registration. A fallback was then added to automatically switch to SMS if delivery to WhatsApp failed. Throughout the process, we prioritized speed, reliability, and smooth integration with Golootlo’s existing app infrastructure to ensure users experienced no interruptions./p>
