Cocomo, one of Bisconni's most popular biscuit brands, ran a nationwide scratch-off campaign encouraging consumers to collect codes from multiple packs to improve their chances of winning. Convex Interactive built a WhatsApp bot to instantly validate these codes, confirm eligibility, and guide consumers to find specially marked diamond-doodle Cocomo packs.
Problem
Cocomo's scratch-code campaign relied on consumers submitting codes from pack to pack to improve their odds of winning, generating a huge volume of entries to verify. Manually checking each code, confirming validity, and communicating next steps to consumers would be slow, inconsistent, and impossible to manage at a nationwide scale.
Solution
Convex Interactive built a WhatsApp bot that allowed consumers to submit their scratch codes for instant validation, receive confirmation of their entry, and be guided to look for diamond-doodle-marked packs to boost their winning chances, all without any manual intervention.
Process
We started by developing a WhatsApp bot flow that let consumers submit their scratch codes directly in chat. The bot instantly validated each code and confirmed whether it was a winning entry. Invalid codes prompted consumers to double-check and resubmit their entry.
After valid submissions, a follow-up message was sent to encourage consumers to continue collecting codes from future packs and to hunt for the diamond-doodle Cocomo biscuit to improve their chances of winning.
Result
The WhatsApp bot enabled Cocomo to run its scratch-code campaign at scale, instantly validating thousands of consumer entries without manual effort.
